Brand collaboration tips + templates for Email Pitching

woman writing brand collaboration email

I believe, Instagram runs on brand collaborations. And if you’re on Instagram, dreaming of being a content creator or influencer while scrolling through the black hole that is Instagram, you need to read this.

Rather than beating around the bush and delivering unnecessary words for you to read rather than send emails for brand collaborations, I’ll list it down for you to scan through quickly get to the important stuff.

  1. Write a catchy subject line (see examples below).
  2. Introduce yourself and include direct links.
  3. Mention why you wish to work with the brand.
  4. Include your social media statistics like engagement rate, monthly/weekly views, audience demographic, etc.
  5. Mention other brands you’ve worked with from the same industry.
  6. Be personal and customize your email for a person and brand.
  7. If you can, include the idea in your email.
  8. The email should be about what you can do with and for the brand, don’t make it all about yourself.
  9. If it’s your first email pitch, include a mini media kit.
  10. DO NOT INCLUDE PRICING.

Tip

Interact with the Brand on Social Media before you send an email pitch. It shows that you’re interested in the brand. You may also get bonus points for mentioning any recent campaigns or content that you liked in your pitch email.
